Well I have made it safely back in Guaimaca, Honduras to Orphanage Emmanuel. As always things here have changed completely but stayed the same. If you have ever been here you know what I mean. The kids that I know have grown up so much, and there are also lots of kids that I do not know because this place has expanded and kids are in different houses.
I am assigned to the Special Needs children. I wake up in the mornings and go to the older girls special needs house. I am currently just making sure that they have decent clothes on and have brushed their teeth, those morning things that need to happen. Then it's breakfast. After breakfast I am going to be working with all of the special needs boys and girls. I don't know my exact schedule yet or what I will be doing during this time. This week I will be evaluating the kids and putting them into groups. Then I will come up with a lesson plan to work with them. After I work with them, I go and help with the older girls meals at lunch and dinner. I few afternoons I will help supervise the girls yard. Also I will be helping in the office when needed for small projects.
I'm very excited about the possibilities of what I imagine could happen and with God in it this could exceed the expectations of even me. That is key though is that I stay focused and remember why I am here. It's not just to help the kids, it is to do the work God has called me to do and give Him all the glory. Without Him I would be no where near this place. The reason that I am here, is so that He can work through me. It is to show people that think certain things are impossible but with God in the process all things are possible through Him.
I am still working on getting my own internet but am currently borrowing others. When I purchase that I will be able to post more on the blog.
